You're currently viewing Physics for idiots 2.0.1 BETA edition. To go back to the fully functional version click here.

Welcome to the home of 'Physics for Idiots' a place where you can find lots of physics-y goodness broken down into stuff that actually makes sense. We're not saying you are an idiot, we're just saying that even if you were, you'd get this. There are lots of lovely sections for you to browse so get to it, it won't bite!

If you're a bit confused about a particular aspect of Physics and you can't find the answers on the site, please feel free to email us. We each have our own e-mail address, but usually the best people to contact are Laura (who checks her emails very regularly and can forwards any queries on) or The Rev. Alternatively you can use the email form on the Contact Us page. There is of course the third option of heading over to the The Forum and pitching your question there. See, don't say we don't give you options!

One or two areas of the site are still in a state of construction. We're updating on a daily basis though, so keep checking back!

Using the site

One or two things are probably worth a mention. Any word which is underlined is probably a key point. Most of them are set up so that if you hold your cursor over them, a description comes up. So if you hold your mouse over this sentence for example. If you are using Firefox, you might have problems seeing the whole message. I know this was a problem on 2.0, not sure if they've fixed it on 3.0, anyway, if this is an issue, worry not, there is an add-on to allow you to read them. Click here to get it fixed. There's probably lots of other confusing things and weird quirks, if anything is really confusing anyone, send us an e-mail
